I bet that thing will move around, when you have it full of ballast does it suck the fuel like crazy?

It's geared to pull weight so it does great on gas at wakeboarding speeds like 20-25 mph, after that it starts to go through it pretty quickly. Pulling tubes is where it sucks the most.

There used to be a good contingent of race boats down there just about every weekend... but the performance stuff has tapered off significantly and now the tournament ski boats are predominant as well as bass boats and family oriented stuff.

Y'all talking about performance actually leads me to another question. This boat has a 60 hp motor. It is 1400 to upgrade to a 75 hp motor. Is it good to do that? I've read that people do complain about it. Apparently some do prop upgrades to help it, but I'm curious of y'alls opinion.

Do yourself a favor and go look at bass pro shop. They have a lot bigger selection of boats and if a lowes boat is what you like now you will really like the new bass trackers

I'm pretty much have the opinion of never enough hp, but look at it from a little different perspective, it will help the resale/trade in value a bunch! When I sold my first boat it would have paid for its self with a quickness if I didn't have the base motor.

i have 4.3l it is only 190hp, still does great but bigger is much better

$1400.00 to go from a 60 to a 75 seems kinda' pricey.... I'd shop that around a bit before laying out any dough.

Agreed, but I know jackshit about outboard motors. What I do know is that they can be extremely high dollar.

You wanna play huh? Acutally inboard boats can make tubing down right scary. Having the ability to turn on a dime at 30+ makes for some interesting crashes/skips across the lake. Lol

Go with a 4 stroke if you can.
Better fuel economy and not as much maintenance is needed.
If you do decide to go 2 stroke never use a paper fuel filter it will absorb the oil and cause you to run lean.

Yeah, that MC Stars and Stripes is a pimp boat. First boat I ever wakeboarded behind.

Make sure and drain the water out of the engine. I picked this old Baja up pretty cheap because the bonehead didnt winterize
