        As for the car, the price doesn't seem too bad. It's pretty damned clean, has 70's street machine written all over it, and the owner spent a TON of fucking cash building it when it was new/almost new. I'd think it would bring a decent amount at one of the bigger auctions.

          In my opinion those 5.7 Oldsmobile diesel are nothing less than a pile of shit. The trucks they came in worked great once you replaced it with a 403 gas engine.

          However I saw a old mercury in Reno one year at hot August nights that had a 5.7 diesel in it with TH400 and 3.08 gears, guy said he drove it everywhere and claimed it got like 25mpg. I was like yes as long as it stays together. He claimed to know the secret formula I told him I had no interest in knowing, LOL.

            I was thinking 6.0 with a turbo. leave the diesel badges on it and surprise the fuck outta some people.
