    I specifically didn't mention the God part of it as to not turn anyone off, but that's a big part of my meditation as well, but it doesn't have to be in order to be effective. With enough practice anyone can learn to guide their thought patterns in any direction they so choose.

    Just like alot of what we physically do, most of our emotional responses are due to learned thought processes that manifest into habitual behavior. The key is to begin to redirect those thoughts in a positive direction, rather than just letting them run their usual course.

    If you do enough thinking about it, you can learn to stop thinking. lol

      Another thing that helps is to turn the TV off and move your phone away from the bed. I sometimes catch myself tired, but not quite there yet, and I grab my phone and start browsing. From that point the whole process resets :/
