That's no shit. I ordered a large specialty pizza from Papa Johns yesterday with a pepsi + delivery charge, and it was $14ish?

I always tip $5 to delivery drivers. More if it's a place with a huge delivery area and I'm the asshole 15 minutes away (Chef Chu in Carrollton for example).

It's worth $5 to sit on your ass.

When I was in highschool I worked at BurgerStreet. Some church in fn'g east dallas ordered 750 hamburgers. I had to deliver ti because I was the only one with a car that could carry it.

Other people made up the hamburgers, but I had to load and unload it by myself. The deal was that they were going to tip me for delivery.

All I got was a "bless you". yeah fuck you too. I quit as soon as I got back.

On the rare occasion that I go to sonic, I still tip server. Why in the hell wouldn't you carry some cash on you?

I tend to tip a little higher than normal amount like 20-25% if I get good service. Then when I return, they remember you and you get even more stellar service. If you treat people good that deserve it, it will come back to you. Of course this is places I visit frequently from work, or home. If I am visiting somewhere I still try to take care of the person if they act like they really want to be cool with you.

The church crowd is just as bad as Middle Easterners and Mondays.

Yep. Tip etiquette is a huge indicator on what kind of person someone is.

I have seen card machines not work, I have even seen places that don't take plastic. I always have at least $100 cash on me at all times.

I had a weird experience over the weekend. We went to a strip-center Italian restaurant (don't ask me why) and when we walked in, instead of being shown to a table, we noticed a magazine rack with menus on it.

So we stand there for a couple of minutes in the lobby deciding what to eat, then proceed to the cash register where the woman takes our orders. We paid, then she handed over cups for drinks, and tells us to sit anywhere we like. The drink fountain is self-service, as is the silverware, the napkins, plates, and condiments. Bread is not brought to the table. In fact, bread is a menu item, so you have to pay for it. Get your ass up and head back to the cash register, because no one is coming by to ask if you want anything.

The same lady that took our order brought our food out to us, and took away the plates when we were done. That's all she did. We got our own parmesan, crushed pepper, drink refills, etc.

So what is a good tip for this kind of service? I thought I was generous in leaving $10 on a $85 bill, but some others did not agree.

Do you tip the mouth breather that makes your sandwich at subway too?

Holy fuck balls, $85.00 at a strip center Italian and no waiter/waitress'?

Italian food is just as affordable as Mexican food, no way I pay that much. We went to Maggianos last week, two entrees, freah hot bread, two glass of wine with tip it was less than $75.00, no way this place was as good or better.

That's self service, no tip necessary.

I saved his address and name so I can send him a thank you letter. As stated in a previous thread the fuckers that don't tip me or tip less than $2-3 I save there info as well, only they don't get thank you letters in the mail. I would have treated it the same as fast food. No tip.
