Pizza driver hourly wage is minimum wage now? Hell in 1996/1997 I was making $8.00 an hour plus $1 a delivery and tips. I averaged about $15 an hour - hitting a 30 hour work week it was more than enough for a college kid.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I was doing the same as a Senior in HS since I was born in October and turned 18 earlier than most of the other kids. It was great money, I was only averaging about 12-14 depending on the night, but everyone else I knew was making $4.25 an hour. My hourly rate was only about $5 an hour. Gas was damn cheap too. It was great. Driving around, listening to music all night, getting paid well and free food on top of it. I can't think of having a better job that I would have enjoyed more at that age.

On good nights I average $15-20 an hour, but it's not enough. I took this job for extra money part time. Thankfully my truck driving job is about to come back since the plants I transport are about to be ready in a few weeks.

not to mention a lot of that money is off the books.

i tip according to a sliding 15% and up scale, but a lot of these motherfuckers make more than i do, and i sure as shit dont get tips when i help some of my partners solve a 1MM problem.

Deal with international companies and contacts on a regular basis and it will sour your opinion on things like tips when it takes money, lots of money, just to grease the wheels in places like brazil.

My room mates asked what I was doing when I tried to tip the other day. They did not understand the concept.

We could always tell who the poor tippers would be by the order.

                    Deep dish meat lovers
                    wings
Sprite or some fruit flavored soda

                    Every. Fucking. Time.

"Hi, your total is 21.64. Ok, out of $22? Do you need the change?"

Those people got fucked on the price. Back in the day if people placed an order that large it would usually work out to $10-11 per pizza. Maybe that's why they didn't tip for shit.

Tipping the pizza people? I have not ordered delivery pizza in a few years since the pizza chains went to a surcharge for delivery. It helps also that Pizza hut, Papa Johns, and Domino's are like within a mile radius of where i live.

...and are you suppose to still tip the sonic girls? since i don't carry cash anymore really I never have anything to tip them. At least Sonic is not as pretentious as most other places with putting a tip line on their receipts hoping you will fill in something.
