The omni mansion del Rio was a good place for us. Right on the Riverwalk across from that Margarita restaurant and near the good restaurants.

That place looks really nice! A little more than I wanted to spend and they don't seem to have any river view rooms left the week we were thinking about. I am thinking about going with this one and just going a different week.

If you look around, you can find deals for them. I think I only paid $129 for an entire weekend via Groupon the last time we went.

We went in the middle of July and went through Expedia. I think it 3 nights for about $300. It was dirt cheap for that type of place. We didn't get a rivier view though.
