nope, and the other half wants to shoot for a girl. I may need to make a fishing trip to the doctor to have that fixed on the hush hush.

Westin on the Riverwalk is where we stay with no kids. Best Hotel room in downtown S.A., they have riverwalk views and steet views, I recommend the river view. The also have a secure valet so you don't have to worry about parking your car or paying for parking.

I like the Menger hotel. Cool old place that has some history. Reasonably priced and right by the river and the Alamo

Try the Grand Hyatt. Couple years old and very plush.

We stayed at the Drury Inn, which was cool because it's a converted Petroleum building from the '20s. It's also right on the river and must have been pretty cheap because, well, I'm pretty cheap. I wouldn't say it is particularly "special" but then again when I go on vacation I don't spend a lot of my money or time cooped up inside a fucking hotel room.

We toured the Menger. I would also suggest it. It is a haunted POS old hotel, but that's part of its charm.

If you're into Dallas-style "kick ass" then go for the Omni.

I'm partial to the Marriott because it's the first "vacation" my wife and I ever took when we were in college in San Marcos and because I signed up for their rewards program at that time and it saved my ass later in life when I was working on the road and living in Marriotts. Long story

We went ahead and booked the drury inn for 3 nights. Nice and 3 nights was about the same as 1 night at one of the other places. We would rather spend the money on having fun and not the hotel.

With that being said what are some must dos?

We plan to do the usual stuff like River walk, Alamo, Shopping (woohoo ;( ), caverns, etc.

Go see all the missions. Yes, the Alamo is famous but there isn't much to see. Mission San José blows it out of the water.

Welcome to San Antonio Missions, a National Park Service site and the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Texas.

After thousands of years, South Texans faced drought, European diseases, and colonization. In the 1700s, these Indigenous South Texans foreswore their traditional subsistence lifestyle and assimilated for survival to the Spanish ways, accepting a new religion, diet, economy and more.

I've been passing by that place several times a year for the last two decades, I've never stopped and I'm glad I haven't, lol!

You need to stop one day. The rattle snake pit is good stuff.
