        Thanks for the biz!!

And thank you for the compliment. In addition to providing some kick ass deals for you guys....I want to make sure you get the best OVERALL deal for your situation. In Elvis' case, he could have put the 15k cash down and paid close to 200 more a month to gamble on how much equity he would have when he traded at three years, or keep 10k in the bank, save close to 200/mo over the next 36 months, and let Ford take the risk on resale.

5k down plus 36 x $400 =$19,400 and you give the car back. Sounds like a great deal for the customer.

              vs $15k down plus $600/month for 3 years = $36,600 and you still owe...$14k?
So you'd have to sell a 3 year old F150 for $30k+ to break even against the lease. I don't know if that's reasonable or not.

Where is the $14k coming in from?

I said it was a good deal didn't I? lol

I was shopping for used F150's a few months back and there were plenty of dealerships wanting well above 25k on 3 yr old f150 ( and this was the old body style and motor remember... these did not cost near 50k new like the 11's do). It amazed me how you you could buy a brand new 2010 cheaper than some of the 08's and 09's used.

F150's have very good resale value and Ford will profit from the lease... or leasing would not be an option.

Assuming price of truck to be around 50k. 35k (after down payment) financed with a bad interest rate would be $600 + a month at 72 months. And when you have done a lease prior to buying a new car you have no trade in to help offset the tax on the new vehicle.

                        Aren't most auto loans 5 years? So if he's paying $600 a month for 3 years, he's got 24 $600 payments left.

Couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or not.
