  • experience with dallas auto auctions

first off, i know nothing about auto auctions and have never been to one. i have been looking for a small 2wd/4cyl/5spd truck and figured i could find a good deal there. looking for some advice or just a what-to-expect before going to one. if you are a regular at the auctions and dont mind someone tagging along send me a pm

    thanks

There are very few auctions that will allow non dealers in. The prices aren't as good as you would think, especially right now. For example, I got a 97 Mazda B4000 extended cab with 161k on it and some pretty good body damage on the front fender, had to pay $1800 for it. Plus it's a crap shoot since you can't drive the car before you buy. Last week, a 94 Ranger 3.0L 5 speed with no harmonic balancer went through for $1400.
