I like that the Corvette is an iconic American sportscar. I think that doing this will diminish the cars legacy.

Newsflash: it will still be a sports car, and it will still have more power than most of the sports cars running around.

Yall do know that the vette started out a basic car right. No frills, in line six. It took a whole before they became luxury sports cars. They at least make it an option to order a stripped down car and not add 300 pounds of gimmicks and gadgets
