I looked back and found my old listing on that fork lift....here's exactly what I said in the listing....

"....I've spent a bit of time researching similar units that are currently for sale, and the next closest one I could find is listed for $2500, but it is a 5000# unit, this one is a 6000# unit, therefore to avoid any haggle or BS I'm only asking $1700, but I am firm at that price. Please do not waste my time or yours by offering anything less than $1700. However I may be able to work with you on delivery."

.....Yet this dick offered $900. So I say fuck his gas, he needs a $3.70/gal lesson in respect. If I'm a dick for delivering that lesson....well...then I'm okay being a dick ...and I can sleep at night with that.

But just also think for a minute if I had been serious with this Dude too....not only did he disrespect me in the first place with the lowball price, but I also clearly stated he needed to be there by noon, yet he showed at 4pm. Obviously no regard for anyone but himself.

But you don't have to agree with my logic either man ....its all good.
I see nothing wrong with this...

I actually agree with your post on CL, Pretty straight foward about no BS. Doesnt mean two wrongs make a right & pretty sure that guy paid the higher price. I agree on the logic of posting it for cheaper then the competeion of other items like yours & pricing it way cheaper & being firm. But there are always idiots who arnt going to listen. This is why our prison system stays full. I just didnt agree with sending some stranger to a false address, You never know who your dealing with & if they will come back & find you and its just bad Karma. It could be a person like that kid who is just making a offer even though they know the answer is prolly NO! If us guys didnt ever try & make the effort knowing we might be rejected, None of us would ever get laid & the world populate. Well I take that back. There are alot of Woman who are just flat out HORN DOGS & LOVE SEX

A good description (and a price!) with good pictures is extremely important these days. Even still, a low ball offer is an insult to me if you have not taken the time to come see my item. You're basically calling my stuff junk, telling me it's not worth what I'm asking for it even though you've never even seen it.

If you take the time to come see my item, devote a little time and spend a little gas, and you lowball me, now it's your opinion. You've seen it in person, and now you're telling me what you think it's worth to you. That's fine, everyone has their opinion and I don't have to take your offer. I'll just say no thanks.

I also hate the "what's the lowest you'll take" emails. That number is different day to day for me. If you're in front of me, counting out $100 bills, the number will be lower. If you're 50 miles away and making me a crap offer on the net, the number is MUCH higher.

I feel if you're interested in an item, and the seller is asking a halfway reasonable price, go look at it. You'll always have better luck negotiating in person, waving cash in his face. Gotta be willing to spend a little time and gas money if you want a bargain.
