Even though it's a famous mission, I don't think most people really understand how dangerous it was and how much of an effect it had on the morale of the Japanese early in the war. The Japanese civilians truly thought their country was defended by divinity. And then here come a few Yanks to drop bombs on their emperor. Fucking rad.
