Not every item, but the general scope of each department.. And if they cannot find it, get on the radios.. Or have a computer handy, that they can use to look.

Are you saying that you should not be able to walk into a store, and find the item you seek without having 5 different people involved?

They get paid a lot more than minimum wage. My uncle works for the home depot in weatherford and he started out at $16 an hour. Of course he had general knowledge of construction. Your telling me out of 15 people no one should know what the item is? I even told them the
price and pulled it up on my phone off their site.

I agree, but they dont. The smaller hardware stores generally are better, but the Lowes/HomeDepots suck. They dont know what you are asking for, and then they have to try and figure out what department to ask, etc. I used to pick up building supplies part time when I was in highschool, and it was usually quicker to walk around and find it myself than to get them to help.

I don't know, I cut them a break. I sell stuff too and have NO CLUE every single part in the inventory of part numbers that I sell.

I concur that they can be frustrating, but does it really justify cussing them out? At least they ARE working.

Yeah, I have found that to be what I do most of the time as well.. They really should put in a couple of "public use" terminals in so that you can search for what you need, and it tell you what isle it is on.

I got burned a couple of times looking for something specfic, since I had a limited time to get to some of the places I needed to go. The lumber yard closed at 5:30, So I had to plan to get there and dick with the depot afterwards, or sometimes I just had to come back. Lowes always pissed me off with having one or two things but not having much selection, and Depot was much better as far as that goes. I still go into lowes and get pissed off that they dont have near the selection Depot does.
