  • Smoker grate?

Had a smoker give to me but it will probably need a new grate. The old grate has the Teflon coating crumbling off. I tried a scraper and a wire brush but that looks to be a chore and a half. Does anyone know of an easier way or where to buy a new grate. 27x20

depending where you live you dont wanna go to home depot to buy hard material. go to garland steel, if you're on that side of town. Dimco steel if you're near down town dallas, and if you're in fort worth you must be kkkrazy

                    Wow

I looked it up on both lowes and home depots website. I made sure it was there. I went to lowes first and they showed me chicken wire . After 45 minutes and 8 employees I just told them I was going to home depot. I get to home depot and aske 5 different people and nobody knew what expanded metal was. They asked me what it was for and I told them I was going to replace my grate on my smoker. They said oh yeah we got what you need and took me down the grill isle .I told them fuck off and ask them how they could work in a building center and not know what shit is. As I was leaving I seen what I was looking for and took it to them and said "you see this dumasses this is what the fuck I'm looking for, FUCK!" I swear it's getting as bad as going into most auto parts stores.

For the people on the floor to know something about the product they sell?

That's a training issue IMO, and falls on the store, not necessarily on the worker.

The fine people at fast food joints can't even get the order right half the time. The people at Home Depot are no different.

So everyone in the store should know what is in every department?
