I think you should consider getting auto and home insurance from The Hartford. I’ve been with them for 9 years and I’m quite happy with them. They offer some great discounts (discounts for bundling home-auto insurance, multi-car discount, defensive driver discount etc) that could really help bring down your rates. Take a look.

There have been some across the board increases lately with auto and home. Department of Inusrance let them so everyone will feel it eventually.

They might not be the cheapest, but after being in a major wreck I am 100% sold on State Farm. The wreck was his fault, he was given a ticket and his insurance (Farmers) wanted to cut my frame in half on an almost new F250 and weld a new section on. Due to some other circumstances in the wreck I chose to file on mine instead (State Farm) so they could fight with Farmers and found out they don't cut frames and had a check for almost what I paid for the truck within a week. It took Farmers longer then that just to come look at it.

Our company insurance is fighting with Progressive right now because they won't pay for all of a wreck where their insured ran a stop sign and hit our truck. They are claiming it is partially our fault because the cop wrote speed as a factor on the police report, too bad the truck has a GPS tracker and it was only running 37 in a 35 at the time.

Anyways I say get state farm even if it cost more, and fuck progressive.

If you're over 25 have good credit and a good driving record there is no excuse why someone can't find a good deal on insurance. I pay less than $90 a month for full coverage on two cars and I've got my coverage maxed out. Plus $50 deductibles.

This. All companies are raising rates right now to stop the bleeding.
