HD vs SD camcorder

Wanting get opinions on the 2 camcorders, i would like to buy a HD camcorder for my daughters soccer games and family use, but wondering if it's worth the money? im looking in the $500 range of the HD camcorders or is it better to just buy a regular SD camcorder?

buy the hd. the sd cameras have a very grainy picture. the extra money for the hd is well worth it

I bought an 8GB Flip HD camera for my wife for Christmas and we've been happy with it so far. Takes great video, surprisingly good audio and is dead-simple to use. Honestly, I think it shoots better video than the $900 Canon camera we bought a few years ago. The flip is 1/4 the size and got it off Amazon for $160 shipped.

But definitely go with HD, no matter what you buy.

Go HD. I picked one of these up at Frys back in Sept. with a camera bag, tripod, and 32 gb sd card for $560. I really enjoy using it.

Yeah i was reading on that one and the canon one. So you like the panasonic one? How many hr's can you get out of the 32gig?
