I'd still like to see a dyno sheet. Vortech heads are acceptable, but I don't think they're even good enough to 400hp out of a 2 barrel. Can they even run headers, or does it have to be stock manifolds?
My engine which is just a hair over 315 CI (305 .060 over), with Brodix heads and mechanical fuel injection, with no transmission made 400 to the wheels. Assuming everything stays the same an engine with 360 ci (350 .060 over) would make 459.6825396825397 hp at the wheels, and that's with no transmission, good aluminum heads, and 19.5 inches worth of butterfly diameter (2 7/16 butterflies x8 cylinders)Last edited by racrguy; 02-21-2013, 11:58 PM.

Heck a long time ago my buddies nova made 286 to the wheels with a bone stock gm crate motor with vortechs. I'm sure with a couple more points of compression and a good vanity would have been well over 350.

It's also not about how much horsepower you make, corner speed has a lot more to do with overall speed than power. If you can't get through the corners fast all the horsepower in the world won't help you.

Just remember, the race car itself is the cheapest part of racing. Fuel to and from track, pit passes, time you have to spend away from work, etc. is the stuff thst gets out of hand. I know most people who are not involved in motorsports make fun of your local dirt hobby stock guy for being a blue collar red neck, but the fact is, no matter what you race, it take a LOT of discretionary income.pinto gt with wood trim
