Wow really? Thats the complete opposite of my experience there. It was a girl in her Early 20s I beleive helping me out when I was pricing some flashes, and she was completely friendly, explained it all to me and even showed me the cheaper offbrand version they had if I wanted to save money

how long ago was this? i did some christmas shopping there this past season and they seemed friendly, and had a lot of people on staff.
It was over a year ago before the D700 Full Frame sensor came out. I knew I would go FF and was wanting to get rid of a 17-55mm f2.8 DX lens.

Do they take old lenses for money? Or for store credit? I have a lens I might need to get rid of soon.

I don't recall, but Adorama and some other places will send u a prepaid label to ship the item to them, they will look at it and send u a quote. If you don't like the offer, they will ship it back for free. If u take the offer, they will mail u a check.

I'll have to check that out. Decided to upgrade to the 60D from the T2i. Comes with an 18-135 so I wont have much need for my 18-55. Pretty much mint condition, didnt use it much. Looks like they are going for about 100 on CL.

It works great. There is actually a smaller second strap that helps keep it in place.
