    Investigators with the Erath County Sheriff's Department are working on a case involving a man who was severely beaten and possibly castrated. He was reportedly found tied to a tree on Monday somewhere in the county.

    Law enforcement officials are refusing to comment on the case calling it a "fluid situation."

    Sources say the man was also burned and is at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, but that has not been confirmed by authorities. The Empire-Tribune has been given a name of the victim who is reportedly from Huckabay, but will not release it until further details about the case become available.

            Somehow, the update I just got is worse. Apparently the question isn't whether he's intact or not, but whether his parts were removed before the fire, or by the fire.

                        I can see it going either way.

                        The one thing worse than having your goods burned off and being killed is havin them burned off and living. This guy could also be a sex offender.

                          The scuttlebutt around town is, that this is a revenge deal. We'll see whether it's drugs, a pedo, somebody's girlfriend, or what.

                              Dude, it's the Empire Tribune. I'm just surprised they used the word "castrated" in correct context.

                              From what I've heard, it involves sexual relations with a teen, and an angry parent. All just speculation and hearsay at this point though.
