I know where one is at. It comes with a dead battery.

I didn't have my truck when we were still using an infant seat but I imagine it wouldn't have been easy.

I know I will catch hell for this but anything with sliding doors is THE SHIT when they're little. It makes it a ton easier having the door slide out of the way vs having to fight an open door and risk banging into the cars next to you.

This is my wife's DD (Mazda5)

Most doctors recommend rear facing for as long as possible, 2 years at least.

That's what my buddy's wife drives, he loves it. Only van that comes with a stick shift. That's a no-go for my wife though, she refuses to drive one, or any mini van for that matter. I'm all for it, and the 5 would be my first choice because it's a 4 banger. I hate V6 FWD cars, too much of a bitch to work on.

By the time I was 2 years old I was riding on the package tray.

Pretty sure you mean infant....by toddler it's just the kid your picking up or that is crawling in on their own. it's easy lifting them up versus bending, but toting around a stroller without beating the interior to hell will be the challenge.

Get the biggest truck you can (cab-wise). You'll want the extra room. If you're dead set on a truck and not sure if there will be enough room take a baby seat with you and strap in before you buy it.

Oh and if you get a truck, you are going to need to get a bed cover for the stroller.

Or get a cable lock like you use for bicycles.

That's not going to keep it dry in the rain.

My brother in law has an F250 quad cab with his twins since birth. His wife had a Nissan Murano and just got rid of it for a Tahoe.

Both options sound better than the route my wife went with the minivan when mine were all little.

GE is absolutely right. It gets old quick. My son grew out of that kind of car seat in just 6 months. Then we put him in a rear facing seat that can be turned around later. I turned him around at 1 year because he is over 25lbs and tall for his age. His feet were getting cramped up against the back of the back seat.

This is very true, but at the same time they are going by a government crash safety guide and not their own actual opinion. They just parrot what the government says because they would open themselves to a liability to say something else. Our son is fairly tall for a one year old and having him backwards just isn't practical any longer.

So back to the main point of this thread. I have an F150 4x2. My wife is 5'4" and 125lbs. She does prefer to put Carpenter into a lower vehicle like her 2010 Equinox but she has no issues getting him into my truck..

Me and my boy out for some adventure a short while back.. Excuse the crappy photo and beard..

My wife went from a 4door Silverado when my son was an infant, to a malibu when he was 2-3, and is now back in in a Silverado. It was a pain in the ass putting him in the malibu. We both think 4 doors and something a little taller is much easier getting kid in and out of and he actually has leg room again.
