I'd say $40k is okay money, $75k and up into low six figures is good money, GOOD money to me is $200k or more annually.

I left a job making roughly $50k/year to go back to school.

Being that national household income is $50k for two people... Id say making $40-50k for a single person good money

70k is respectable, but hardly GOOD money.

I don't think GOOD money is any less than 150K/person.

              Good money maybe around 90.

              Decent...50ish

Don't even get me started on CHOO CHOO money.

I agree, but in the DFW area it isn't that hard to bring that in. The younger generation being lazy and pretty worthless just makes it that much easier.

(Younger generation= most people under 25)

Good money is enough to cover your expenses and to be able to put 6 months expenses away each year. The trick is limiting the amount of expenses, which is hard to do.

I have my total expenses down to $16.200/yr and hope to have it down to $10,500 in another year. Once I have built enough savings to generate the after tax income of that at a safe withdrawal rate of 3%, I'll retire from my job and pursue my interests full time.

High income would certainly help, but I see employment as golden handcuffs, and would be much happier on a boat in the gulf taking tourists out to fish for a few bucks to cover my fuel and maintenance on the boat.

nah, i made a shade over 75k last year and by no means am making 'GOOD' money.. i have enough to pay my bills, save, and have fun.. but i still dont think that constitutes 'GOOD' money. also location has a lot to do with it, as 100k/yr in cali isn't shit compared to 100k/yr in midland/odessa

Or have a bunch of people that don't feel as if they make enough.

Shit's ridiculous in M/O. Rent on a shitty 2br apartment is a grand a month, at least!
