I was surprised at my career meeting a month and a half ago by the VP saying they were going to give me a 6 month salary review. Since then I have been placed in a neighborhood we are trying to close out of to learn and help relieve some of the load from the builder. With that, I was given my first 5 houses to build.
My salary review happened today. They have changed my job title from Warranty Service Manager to Constructon Manager 1 (essentially assistant or in training)
Awesome, moving in the right direction. Then they tell me with that comes a salary bump to $40,000/year. So in 6 months I have been promoted and received a $4000 raise!

Time for another update. I am 3 monthd into building my "own" houses. Still with Highland Homes, I am no longer handling any warranty work outside of the homes I close. I currently have 13 houses in production.
I got a pleasant surprise today, 10-11 months into my tenure, my area manager and project manager sat me down and commended me for my performance. They also promoted me to Construction Manager 2. Along with that came a $6000 raise.
Since I started May 20 of last year, I have received 2 promotions and $10k in raises.
I am extremely happy that I made the decision to pursue this career path!
