                      My first new car was a '79 Z28 from Carter Chevrolet. Dark blue 4sp w/3.73 from the factory. Ran pretty good for what it was (and what the government was doing to cars). Stripped down, but it was about $8000 new.

                          ive seen ( not sure if a true ) late model T/A in Nocona, TX. for sale. been sitting there for awhile, body looks straight. only seen it while driving by it

                              Did it have a posi? I used to pull rearends from junkyards in the 90's from 2nd gen transams/z28s, etc. Most t/as had posis, and most z/28s didn't! The 3.73 was only available in the 4 speed z/28, the trans ams had 3.23/3.42, and read discs were only available on the t/a.
