Ha, some of this is true. I've been set on swapping an e36 ever since my last one. I'm indecisive by nature though, FML.

        Let’s do this!
Excuse my ignorance, but would the v6 5spd work in this swap? That would make my drivetrain costs be very cheap.

Maybe with an adapter plate, but that would drive the price right back up.
Cheapest would be a 4.8/5.3 with a 4l60, but fuck those shits. I would love one with a 60e but I'm itching for a manual. Not sure I would want to use a ZF.

            So ls4 with a t5 from a v6 camaro/TA... Aluminum, and reasonable.

Er, scratch that, it sounds good until you find there isnt a spot for the starter on the block...

I thought about this same thing and have been hung up on it for a few weeks although the BMW wasnt on my list. I was thinking either a fox or 60's or early 70's muscle car. LQ4LQ9/L92 with a S480. I think I have about talked myself into waiting a while though when I have a little more money. The new direct port LT motors look promising but it will be a while before they become reasonably priced.

I vote the 4 eye though

**EDIT** Oh and some helpful advice, I dont know what the aftermarket is like for the BMW or 240SX but one thing I figured out when I built my old Datsun was being different is cool but having the aftermarket that mustangs have is a real time and $$$ saver! I hated having to fab just about everything although in the end it led to a more unique car.

Oh, I’ve been looking, saw that car last week. I might go look at it tonight or tomorrow.

Luckily these other two also have a huge aftermarket comparable to a fox.

Yeah, I'd like to see it in during the day, but I know what to look for if it's dark, I just won't see the paint condition.

                            I'll let you know dude.
