Here's the broker I chose... Ryan Brown @ TWG in Irving, 214-838-5427 was able to shop several companies for me and did a good job handling the transfer... plus he'll answer the phone when you call.

Give him a try... doesn't cost a thing to get the quote.

          Thanks Mardyn.

$1092 with a bunch of extra water stuff i didnt have before, and a decent deal on car too.

Thanks Slow as well. JK had me, but this quote was a few hundred a year cheaper combined.

            '281...

Yeah, my Home Owners coverage limits/amounts also increased by about 25% for about 25% less premium. I also moved my 4 cars and my PLUC from State Farm over to MetLife through Ryan at TWG.

Also purchasing another policy for a rental home we've acquired through them as well.

It's a little bit of an ordeal to cancel one policy and get another one started up, but they were able to get it all done on line, quickly and efficiently.

Same here. I had mine right at 116k at state farm to get a decent premium. The limits now have gone up to $160 and a bunch of other stuff. I'm happy.

I was pissed at Farmers for the way they wanted to handle my claim when my house was broken into. I had a bunch of electronics stolen and their policy is that I had 1 year to buy all that shit and submit for reimbursement. The idea of getting your life/house back as if nothing happened is not in their policy so they refused to just write a check so I can go out and replace all the stolen stuff.

Fuck Farmers! Especially Angela Giessner in Grand Prairie. I paid their high premiums every month for over decade and the moment I need them, that's the type of help I get.
From talking to agents and adjusters it seem like they days of cutting you a check and letting you do whatever you want with it may be slipping away. Even of roof claims some companies are only paying out half up front and half when you send them the paid bill. Certainly not all do this, but some do.

You could contact The Hartford for quotes. We’ve been with them for about 12 years now and we have the home auto insurance through them. Overall, I think it works really well for us because they give some great discounts for bundling home and auto insurances, and a few others that also come in handy!

I use Nationwide, we have never paid more than 1100 a year from the day our house was built. We had a Class 4 roof put on and that dropped are premium to under 800 a year. We have 1% deductible and I have taken my policy to Farmers,Statefarm,Allstate and Triple A and nobody has been able to beat the rate with or even give us the same coverages. But we have our Autos and RV with them as well.

Who do y'all use? I have state farm, and nationwide gave me a similar quote.

My house is only worth $115k and I think that's ridiculous.

                        Thanks.
State Farm did that crap to me too. I switched to Farmers

                            I second Germania...
