Yeah, my new BB Bold has the "geotagging" feature on the camera and it is set to "on" by default. Before I ever snapped one picture, I turned that bish off."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain.
I don't care what people say or what bells and whistles the new smart phones have, this is one of several reasons would just as well do without. For the same reasons I drive older cars and have developed certain habits.
No excuse me while I go line my wallet with heavier foil.

First of all. That kind of technology is intrusive and a violation of privacy IMO. Just another piece of seemingly benign tech that could be use for subversive purposes. However, I could tell you a couple of different ways to get around that. Just a few steps to take before you post it or send it from the phone itself. And I'm sure there will be or already are some warez apps out there that can stop the camera from embedding GEO location info into the images from smart phones. There are a lot of things these smart phones can do that people don't realize. Anytime there is an operating system present, there is a backdoor.
