    GTO's and G8's had IRS..not sure on the specifics about it but hard launches on stickies wasn't its design purpose..handling was.

      And that my friend is why we are allowed our own opinions in this country (at least right now). The fact that it can do the duty of both a high performance Grand Touring coupe, as well as the duty of a mid sized truck means you can have 1 vehicle in the garage instead of 2. I was ready willing and waiting on the G8 ST to hit the showroom until they canned it.

        Depends on what you want for power and driveablilty. Cheap power? Do H/C. Less expensive and lets face it, nothing turns heads like a big cam thumping through a parking lot. However, driveability will suffer a bit, but if you can live with that go that route. If you want lots of power and blower whine with stock driveability, go with the procharger.

          For that heavy car I would look into either a maggy or go with h/c/I/e. The first route will net the most power with stock driveability.
