  • Who here has a GTO?

Yes, I got away from Mustangs and went with something that has a LS 1. So far I am happy with it, but want to start modding this.

I am trying to decide if I want to do H/C/I, full exhaust and leave it, or full exhaust and put a Procharger on it....

So....who owns a GTO and what have you done to it?

I do not have a GTO but a couple of Birds now. HCI with exhaust will be cheaper, and can turn out 400 - 500 RWHP depending on how aggressive you go..

If you can pick up a used procharger you might be able to get it done for about the same $ but I would make sure I knew who I was buying the setup from.

I am sure you know of the other forums to go read up on anything you might be thinking of doing.. ls1tech ls1gto

A buddy of mine had a 06 ls2 GTO with a magnacharger and had nothing but problems with it from the bearings to the shitty program they run in the chip

I had the 05 GTO, I would say HCI and full exhaust.

I chose to keep it mild. Colder thermostat, K&N FIPK, and a SLP custom tuned Diablosport II from marylandspeed.com. Car ran pretty good for being just shy of 2 tons.

Put that fat aussie on a diet first. It weighs 400 lbs more than an f-body.

My brother has one. Decent cars. The IRS is a pain if you want to race it a lot.

                              The rear ends blow, literally.

                              And they're expensive.
