My daughter had a few words down around 8 months such as mama, who's that, dada, baba. She wasn't fully making sentences till about 2 1/2. My son was about 6 months for mama. He just turned 3 last Sunday and he's had full sentences down since he was 2. My kids are polar opposites.

My nephew said a few words, but was closer to 3 before he put things together and now he won't be quiet. My niece turned 3 in October, but she's in therapy for suspicion of being autistic. She spoke a couple words at 2 1/2 and now she says a lot more, but no sentences or a huge vocabulary. If she didn't do therapy I doubt she'd talk much at all right now.

Enjoy it while you can. Jr talks as much as his momma.

          God bless.

Mine started at 10-12 months. At 15 months she wouldn't shut up. At almost 4, she told me my car was slow. :-(

My son has been talking my ear off since he was about 18 months.

He was signing around 6 months and words followed pretty quickly.

My son wasn't really talking until here recently. He's about 2 1/2 years and we hired a speech therapist to help him out. All of a sudden about a month ago, he just started picking up words like crazy. Kids tend to start on their own schedule.

Or have swimmers ear. my youngest needed tubes put in and less than a couple of weeks later,he was quite the chatter box. I'd check with your ENT specialist first,it wouldn't hurt.

My oldest didn't start until he was almost four, and by then he just started blurting out complete sentences. Youngest started in the 2'ish area. The late talking thing is genetic on my side.

It's been quite some time, but if I remember right my daughter started saying momma and daddy around 9 months to a year I believe.

Carpenter started at about 8 months with a word here or there. At 10 months he would regularly say Daddy...

His first birthday was a last week. A few days ago we noticed him saying his first Japanese words like Oka-san (Mommy)...

They don't talk when you don't work with em. My aunt and uncle were lazy as hell and didn't do crap with my cousin. Kid didn't talk till he was 5 years old. He's perfectly normal now. Gets good grades in school. Lazy people net lazy results.
