I know this sounds bad, but this situation might have actually been good for your wife. Now she will be a little more comfortable in her next situation and will handle it even better (she handled it very good anyhow) and be less nervous. Almost like free training for her!

Just to reiterate this to Matt specifically.. You should be proud of her. Sounds like she reacted in a very reasonable manner and only escalated the situation to a level reasonable under the circumstances. She did not draw her weapon but was prepared if necessary. Kudos!

Yeah some LT's do not were their vests. Maybe she scared him!

Maybe he was just going to ask her why she was not in the kitchen making you a sammich!!! This event would have never happened then.

Hmm, I would likely let it slide, but Im not sure my wife would have handled herself so well, considering. That said, she should have rolled up to a fire station, there is generally always someone there, and when you pull up blaring the horn they walk out and see what is going on. Then you have a bunch of witnesses. I had to do that once when I was in highschool, and had some idiots think I was someone else trying to run me off the road. In my case, they were on the phone with 911, so I had a uphill battle when the police showed up, but the fire fighters were able to tell them that these guys were way out of line, and I was scared shitless of 5 guys pulilng up and blocking me in, jumping out and screaming at me.

A cop driving a Porsche? Do the cops patrol in trains now?

A cop more than anyone else should be cool enough to be non-confrontational especially considering he could have just written down the plate # and looked up the driver himself...

I'd laugh at the irony if somebody replied with "Well, the cops won't do anything about it".

I'd contact the guy and ask him what he thought he was doing. If I wasn't satisfied I would then hang some paper on his ass.

I don't understand the "maybe he thought she hit him" part. What the shit? Thought? It's pretty obvious when you get hit.

Yeah he was pissed that she had to lock them up and almost wrecked his "Porsche" and also scaring the shit out of him. Having been born and raised in Dallas, that is one of the worst merge lanes in Dallas and it has been like that as long as I can remember and there is always wrecks there too.

I'd file a complaint just to cover the bases. If he's innocent and was on 911 as well, then no harm, no foul just a misunderstanding. If he's lying, then there's a papertrail and if he decides to start randomly giving you tickets for things you have something to look back on
