I have a new native mariner, malibu mini-x and an old native fishman pro. The fishman pro and mariner fill the same job that the cuda does. I really want to make the mariner my main yak and that will not happen until I sell the cuda. I'll post pics soon.

      • Long shot, but...

Is there a place around that will rent out a kayak for like 10 days? I really want to take one on my trip to CO this year, just to dick around on a large pond near my camp, and maybe on a nearby lake. I won't be going in the river with it. This would be a great chance for me to see if I want to buy one.

          • Myself my dad and a couple family friends did the Lower Pecos River last week. Amazing 4 day trip! one of the coolest rivers i've ever seen.

Needs to confidently hold 350. I'm 340, and although my fly fishing gear doesn't weigh much, I don't want to be pushing the limits. Thanks, btw!

Where ya get the pants? Bought 1 pair a long time ago and can't find another. After a few years of camping/fishing - they ain't doing so good anymore.

Yeah, my dad was actually really excited about yanking it out because he had been doing research on it lol. I highly recommend this method. They always have the zippered pants at Academy Sports for about 20 bucks. Excellent kayak pants!

                        • The weather was perfect and this trip ended up being a blast. Nice easy paddle. I've decided to sell my Ride 115 sit on top kayak to pick up a Wilderness Systems Tsunami sit in kayak. I'm not sure if i'm going with a 14.5ft or 16ft, yet. If anyone is looking for a yak let me know, mine is for sale.

                          • Actually headed to Buffalo River all next week to do some kayaking and some 10-15 mile hiking trails!

                            • Meh kayaking is gay.

If any of you want to get rid of yours, I have a 125cc pit bike in perfect condition I've been wanting to trade for a decent SOT fishing yak (~1 tank of gas through it, got it as a gift from a client).

You'll enjoy it, I have roughly 200 miles on the Buffalo from when I canoed it in boy scouts. It's a good paddle.

If you decide you want to pay cash for one, let me know. Mine would be great for it because the Ride series by Wilderness Systems is a wider and more stable than the Tarpoon series. Max capacity of mine is 550lbs and you can stand up in it with no problem. Has built in tracks for rod holders as well.
