  • Teenagers first car.........

I have a year to get my son a car. I have two cars in mind and wanted everybody's input as far as reliability and such.

2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 ltr -best gas milage

2010 Ford Tarus - grocery getter , but has a pretty badass interior.

Anything really bad i need to know about either of these?

Why not an older Truck. Maybe mid 90's Chevy. Reliable, and they are everywhere.

The way I see it is reliability is something you shouldn't have in a kids car. You want that thing to break down so you can teach them how to fix things and maintain a vehicle...this also teaches them to be thankful for what they have. Spoiled ass kids will expect everything! What are you gonna do if they wreck that damn near new car? Go buy another them another car?

Look for a 1981 chevy luv truck. Would be great if it were yellow with a blue front passenger fender and black passenger door.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Nice car, work on them once in a while, always just routine maintenance.

80's Chevy truck doesn't get much easier to work on

Or something 4cyl like a focus or something along those lines.

Gas Mileage is the big thing. Trucks are good on insurance, but horrible gas mileage. Not to mention trucks in Texas are expensive as shit. Plus I don't want to have to be working on it all the time.
