  • The last I heard was 7000 attended. They are expecting over 1000 motorcycles to escort the body tomorrow and are hoping for a turnout all along I35.

You'll enjoy the read, it is a good book. I read it in 2 days while my wife was in the hospital after giving birth to our daughter.

      • I wasn't able to watch earlier live, but I just finished watching it online. I got choked up several times but none as much as I did when his wife spoke.
If you were un able to attend or watch live, I suggest you watch it online.

        • I did ac work for Chad and his wifes father for many years, my son played on little league in the
5th grade with Chris Kyle and was also friends with Chad. My son graduated in 93, Chris graduated in 92.
The service today was really hard for me to watch. I was glad Chris's wife spoke about Chad.
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.

          • I was privileged to have a couple beers back with Chris Kyle last summer and to have attended his memorial today. He was a great guy who had every reason to be boisterous and yet, wasnt; he was as humble as they come and liked nothing more than to hang with his brothers in arms.

The memorial was amazing and I couldn't be more proud to be a Texan today..not that I wasn't proud before, but it was great to see so many people come out for him and to see the overall response the state has had. There were a few thousand people who were at the memorial, although I don't have an exact count. I estimate it was at least 5K.

                        • It was an amazing event. My battle buddy went and I watched it on TV. Too many people for me to be able to handle or I'd have been in the ride to the graveside.

                            • I did really well today watching the reports on the funeral, but I got a HUGE lump in my throat when the news showed video of a SEAL pinning his Trident to Chris' casket.
