Sucks dude. I would have loved to have caught someone in the act of stealing any one of the three car stereos I've had ripped off in the past.

Yeah I feel sorry for the thief I ever catch stealing from me. He will be drinking out a straw after im done with him. The anger that rushed through me when I saw my stuff was gone.

I busted my ass all day yesterday mowing & took my Blower & Hedge trimmers out. I should have dropped the boards & pulled my mower out. But I knew I was going to work again today. Now im calling & texting people off CL trying to round up a mower & Weedeater. Straight shaft weedeaters are hard to find on CL

Thanks Snatch I appreciate the offer. But I feel bad accepting help from the board. I have myself to blame for my stuff being stolen. I shouldnt have left my mower in my truck. I was smart enough to take my Backpack Blower out & Hedge Trimmers out. I was just lazy & didnt want to pull my mower & Weedeaters out cause I was beat from working & knew I would have to load it back up this morning. Being lazy never pays off

Im not gonna say who the member is! But I do want to say in Public Thank you to the member who offered his weedeater to me & to another member who offered to buy me a weedeater. Im not sure my pride would let me accept it. But just the act of kindness softened my heart just now

I say as long as you are appreciative and also pay it forward, there is nothing wrong with accepting someone's generosity. I posted up last year if anyone had a cheap lawn mower to sell and Yellowstang just showed up and gave me one. Sometimes people just rock

Dude, I understand how you feel, but this thing is going to waste away if someone doesn't get it. It's not a prize winner, but it will help keep your money flowing until you get everything back up to par. Then you can pay it forward to someone else in a bind.

sucks man... My wife fusses at me for spending almost $300/mo on insured storage units. She wants to put a little building on our property, but I've had too many friends around here get shit stolen. I had a really low-hour Stihl pro grade trimmer stolen off my property this summer. I got lazy and didn't take it back to storage for a few days

Thanks Ruff, Im not hurting financially that bad where I need money. Im just more frustrated with being stolen from & myself for being lazy & not taking the extra step. Thieves really burn me up & im getting my Karma back for being such a punk kid when I was in my teens & taking this as a expensive lesson learned to spend the extra 10 mins to unload all my equipment each night

Yeah nothing comes easy for the working man, that's for damned sure. Shit like this is why I don't buy into people who think the world is out to get them. It's not really that, it's just that life sucks.

Going forward, realistically it's probably a lot quicker to leave stuff loaded. Is building a shed/or something possible? Just pull your truck in, lock it and rest? Even just a fenced in area you can drive into?

Also recommend buying into those cheap (like 25 or less dollars) alarms. They have some that detect movement, some vibration...etc You may not hear the loud squeal when sleeping, but it may help. Could put that with one of those 90 dollar cameras that also do sound. If you monitor via PC, iphone, android, ipad - you'll hear that squeal wherever you are at. (We use a couple as baby monitors)
