I can see the thread you're going to be posting in two months. The title will be how do you repo a car.

Don't do it if it's family. Definitely don't do it if it's a family friend. If you do, post an update about how they are screwing you.

Word to the wise. Family will fuck you first before a complete stranger will. Because family thinks they can get away with it.

Only if your family is trash. Some of us obviously were blessed with family members who actually accept responsibility for themselves.

He's not even talking about blood, but a "family friend."

I'll reiterate that it's not worth the hassle, hold out for buyer with cash.

No telling who choo-choo boy is talking about. You're right though, if you feel you have to prepare a promisory note for a typical private auto sale it's really questionable whether the deal should ever be considered.

If it's family and you have it to give, then give it to them freely and do not expect payment in return. If you get the money, great. If not, you did not have unrealistic expectations.

It would be best to follow the above advise for a family friend if you want them to remain a friend.

If someone doesn't give a sh$# bout their credit to be able to purchase big ticket items why in the hell should they care about screwing you over?
