    Front License Plate in Texas

    I remember reading that you did not have to have one anymore that they changed the law back in Early part of 2012 I think.. Im looking around and I see a lot of mixed answers. I read that it was an accident that the law was removed and that cops still give tickets.

    Anyone know for sure? and have a link to it?

        maybe, I got a ticket for speeding in July and they didnt give me a ticket for no front place. In 2008 they did give me a ticket for no front plate as well as speeding

            You are required to have one but they have no way to fine you for it. Basically its there but not enforceable in court. Only used for PC for now

              It gives them a reason to pull u over that I know. not sure if you are required thou to have one.

                Got pulled over two times. Each time doing nothing wrong. "Well Sir, it was not on the car when I got it"


                Bought car new, PDI did not put plate bracket on car, so no plate put on.... Technically true
