Sedan Options

In light of the move from SF to Dallas, I'll be ditching the Yaris and picking up something with a little more size and "fun" factor. Requirements are: 1) 4 door; 2) reliable; 3) nice (ie, well-optioned, leather, etc); 4) some power/fun-to-drive factor; and 5) auto.

I'd like to stay cheap - I'm thinking under $15k. My wife has a nice vehicle and I'll be picking up a toy later down the road, so I simply need a nice sedan that will see occasional baby hauling duty. The Yaris fit the bill perfectly for my needs here, but I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm really leaning towards an '05 / '06 G35 sedan thus far. I might also consider a TL, maybe 3-series BMW, C Class Mercedes? Any commentary on experiences with any of these (will obviously be used in this price range) ? Any other options I'm not thinking about? Audi/VW is not an option. Thanks!

I had a 05 C55 AMG with 77k miles that I sold a while back for 17.8. You might be able to find one around 15. It was a really fun car to drive.

I love my girlfriends 06 G35 sedan. It is fun to drive, the seats are great for longer treks, and the leather is pretty supple. They can definitely be had in your price range. Hers has been very reliable. We are working on 110K miles with no problems what so ever.

BTW, we have the SH-AWD and it is better than RWD IMO. It's pretty amazing.

Sweet. I searched and kept seeing issues with them shredding tires due to the factory alignment specs. Any experience with that?

Thanks everyone else. I owned a TL-S and it was an excellent car. Was just thinking about something else. Everyone I've spoken with who had experience with the G35 sedans loved them.
