I like new orleans seafood and spirits. I think theres 2 locations. nothing too special but good food. the softshell crab poboys not bad at all.

I love Sammys but its in Baton Rouge so unless you are going that way, probably not worth it. their crawfish are good and just about everything else.

It is a shithole, but I have got some pretty-good food there. Can't remember the name of any of the restaurants, but I have ordered a shot of whiskey @ 5am at a restaurant before while eating breakfast! There was a place that was famous for its "Poboys", and that was probably the best sandwich I've had in my life!

They're "all famous" for po'boys! Had a badass alligator sausage po'boy at Oceana this afternoon. Think I'm going to try Mothers again for dinner tonight since it's only 3 blocks away. I'm 375ml of Woodford in and not sure how walking is going to work out yet.

Every place I went was within a few blocks of Harrah's casino. I was out there playing a poker tournament, and since I flew, I had no car, so I walked everywhere. I don't remember the names of any of the places unfortunately. I'm not very touristy lol.

We did go to Olivers and Acme for the more expensive places, since it was around my birthday I told them we could not go to any place that made you wear coat and tie. Our hotel was right on one of the parade routes and it may have been because of the beer and hurricanes I had before but this tent (outside a restaurant) had the best gumbo I have ever had. Have to love the lack of open container laws in New Orleans

Right now it's my house. But when I go out its usually some place on the northshore of lake p. my favorite was friends in madisonville. But the last hurricane closed them for good. I'm a big fan of Abita brew pub.

Abita is decent. Get the Amber and stay away from the Purple Haze.
