Hell, my wagon only had 86xxx miles on it when I completely stripped it. Since everything is going to be basically new on the entire car, I rolled the miles back to zero.

I have a 98 T/A that's about to turn 205k. Has the original motor and runs like a fucking champ. Full suspension replaced with all aftermarket since the old shit just felt...old.

Sweet, this one is original motor as well. Trans has been rebuilt about 6k ago as well. I look forward to getting another 100k+ out of this one. Hell I have owned it for about 4 years now and we have put less than 1k miles since.

I commute about 80 miles a day. Car had a tranny rebuild at 130k and still shifts nice and firm. Im hoping this think will hold out a bit longer, and so far it seems happy.

The only thing I know that has been done to it was new pushrods, my buddy said there was some recall on them or something of that nature.
                Wanna see my care face???

Bobby c has 29,000 miles, all of them being done a quarter mile at a time..

Never was a recall on push rods, there was a TSB for piston slap which could be what he was talking about. 98's are most common however least liked because their ECM have very little memory

My 98 camaro has 128k still on original trans and motor. Has a cam and 3500tq converter went 8.0@89 in the 1/8th in December. Best car I've ever owned

My 98 formula on the other hand is fucking cursed. 2 blown motors, 3 blown trans, drives great when it runs but it's cursed

My 00 ta has 63k and hasn't been driven in three years. Maple red metallic with ebony interior. I bought it for $8k with 53k miles still have the window sticker, I figure I could get $14k for it now and it's bone stock

Damn I wish your 98 SS was a 6 speed, I'd be interested in buying it. I bought a silver Ram Air T/A in '98, my gf had a Black one with dealer-painted silver stripes. Those were the days! I have a soft-spot for 4th gen f-bodys as I did a shitload of optispark/plug/plug wire jobs in my parent's driveway in the 90's.

I loved my 98 Z28. It was quite possibly the biggest pile of shit I've owned as far as build quality goes but it was still fun.

Well at the time, they were an expensive pile of shit, now they are cheap pieces of shit.

I would just do the basic mods because its easy to go high 11s. I bought one new in 01 and it was the best car I have ever owned. When I traded it in at 88K miles it was still like new and didnt leak or rattle. The only thing that went wrong with it was a power window motor and I killed the clutch after about 20 bottles of nitrous.
I also bought two new 03 Cobras and I still miss my WS6 way more then the Cobras.
