To reply to both posts,

Interesting. In what ways? I knew they were ugly, and I doubted they were as good of 'racecars' as mustangs, but I didn't know it was actually that bad. I wasn't aware that the difference was so much, that it would lead to all these LS conversions. What makes the camaro (or vette) such a poor choice?

Wore out 90's and early 2000's vettes can be had for reasonable prices. So I don't discount them as a possible choice for these people. Especially given the money they're throwing at these builds, and the condition of the Mustangs they start with in most cases.
