  • itunes owned me today, lost all contacts

    i hope im not deflowering any rules on the board or anything but while updating my gayphone (iphone) i lost all my contacts

    i have worked for many of the dfdub members and would like to have your contact again

    if you dont mind please send me a text with your name and addy as everything i had was lost.

            Gmail and all associated features(contacts) work just fine on the iPhone. Actually, iCloud didn't support contact syncing until fairly recently.

                    I don't even bother with icloud stuff.

                    Sync gmail through the exchange client - done
                    Plug in once a week and sync photos/music/apps to PC - done.

                    Not hard.

                      I sync my iphone contacts through my gmail account, ive kept it that way way before they changed it to icloud.

                      next phone will be the S4, selling my iPhone 5

                              I support iphones and iPads at the office. When is the last time you did a full sync to iTunes? Yes, iTunes is flaky and a process hog but it usually will make a backup each time you sync. It should backup those contacts, photos, email settings blah, blah, within that single backup file. You can restore from that and probably bring back most of the "all on my iphone" contacts.
                              Handyman, classic car and antique jukebox collector/restorer, and all around good guy.
