Well, bought some tickets last night. March 8-17. If I'm gonna do it, might as well do it right.
First two nights in Hostel Cathedral. Cool little place with a rooftop bar and a helluva view.

Very true. Cabs are indeed suspect and be aware that the cops will jack you as well. Stay out of the surrounding "suburbs" at nite. Whats 911?! LOL

Oh, and whatever you do DONT flash anything of value. Even a cheap watch, old nikes, or a "smart" phone will get you got! Also if your not used to carrying your wallet in your front pocket, get used to doing so. Professional pickpocketers are vicious down there. Especially on busses. You have better odds of feeling if your wallet is getting lifted from there. The kids are some of the slickest thieves...

Good tips, thought about that, going to wear my normal DCU cutoffs with 2 buttons on the back pockets. I generally wear nothing of value. The most expensive thing being my flip flops (no joke)

So I guess I will throw my two cents in, she ended up going (company's decision as they couldn't get a spanish speaker that would go! ha) and she came back fine.

Although she never left the hotel and the company provided a driver for her to get to and from the cust. site.
