HOUSTON - Police in Houston are searching for a possible second suspect after three people, including one suspect, were shot at the Lone Star Community College campus Tuesday afternoon in Houston.
Gunfire was reported at about 12:30 p.m. at the campus located in the 2700 block of West W. Thorne Drive, just northeast of the George Bush Houston Airport in north Harris County.
Dozens of officers swarmed the scene as emergency crews treated and transported the injured.
The campus has been placed on lockdown as officers search the area for the possible second suspect. Nearby Nimitz High School, Nimitz 9th Grade Campus, Parker Intermediate and Dunn Clifford Elementary are also on lockdown.
Officers were searching a wooded area north of the campus and the surrounding neighborhood.
The Lone Star College System has an enrollment of 90,000 students and six college campuses, according to its website. Its North Harris campus is about 20 miles north of downtown Houston.
