Items are huge blocks of granite. I have ability to get them and move them, but there is obviously a reason they have been there for ~100 years. Story we got was possibly blocks used when building the capitol. They can be seen in aerial photos from the 1950s but that is all I can verify.

Not worth the risk. Any equipment that can lift huge blocks of granite isn't going to be small. What happens when you have the equipment right next to the track and a train comes around the corner at 70mph and smashes everything to hell. They will put you under the jail if you're still alive and you'd be ruined financially. Even if the stuff is far enough away from the track to not get hit the first train that passes you will turn you in. You'd be chatting with a special agent with in minutes.

Or are they gonna stop and do a tactical roll out of the train conductor seat and pull outta a snub nosed .38 special from their ankle holster and declare a citizens arrest?

Yeah, better watch out, they'll bring in their Death Star and nuke you from orbit if you get close to their coveted choo choo easement.
