The lightning guy also said that the dad accepted the plea deal, the reason he wasn't properly punished rests solely on the fathers shoulders, IMO.

Sean, that's really a low blow. It's not unusual for a plea to be agreed on in these cases. It keeps the child from the further emotional trauma that comes from their attacker's right to face their accuser in court. Not to mention, the terms of probation are so ridiculously strict, that it's basically setting the attacker up for failure. The caveat is catching them in the act and getting a decent judge that will revoke probation.

I don't necessarily agree. If the dad agreed to it for the stated reason, then how can he still be looking to fuck the guy over, legally? Had it been my kids, the case would have ultimately been for me.
