I purchased a refrigerator back in mid of 2009 from Home Depot. Also purchased a extended warranty that I have had to use a few times. The last incident happened back in October. It stopped cooling so they sent a service tech out & determined that the evaporator was bad. Took them exactly 30 days to replace it. Only lasted about 1.5 months & now it is not cooling again. They sent over a tech again today & he couldn't find the leak. He wants to replace the evaporator again which will probably take an other 30 days. Do you fellas think it is possible for me to get Home Depot to just replace the entire refrigerator or am I shit out of luck???

BTW, what fridge did you have trouble with? Seems nothing lasts like it used to.
I told the tech not to order the parts yet because I was going to call Home Depot first & complain. He said that is fine but in the mean time he would charge up the fridge & it should last for an other month. He said if they won't replace the entire fridge to call him back & he will order the parts to replace the evaporator.

Well the tech just left. It turns out that the condenser is bad. He said he will submit the order in & will have to wait for the approval of the warranty company. He also said it could take up to a month again before I have a working fridge. Once they approve the repair they will order the parts then they will have to come back out & install them. I called the warranty company already but they said they can't do anything until they receive the order from the tech.

Got a phone call today from the service tech that Home Depot does not want to sink any more money into this fridge. He said that they (Home Depot) will be contacting me with in 5 days to let me know how they plan to resolve this issue. You guys have any pointers here?
