Don't go cheap on boots; I switched to Redwings last year and have not regretted it. I liked Ariats as well; they are comfortable for a lower priced boot but not as good as my Redwings.

Another vote for Ariats (b/c of your price limitation)....all I've worn for the past several years, but I'm not in the shop everyday anymore either. Back when I was in the shop ~50-hrs a week I was wearing Redwings, not just b/c of the comfort but also b/c they didn't come apart after trouncing around in ATF, oil, gas, diesel all day.
My summary...if you are serious on your feet in them every day...spend the money and go for some Redwings. If you are a blue collar worker that spends a relevant amount of time on your ass in a truck, on a chair, etc....the Ariats will do just fine.
The mentions above for the Justin's shouldn't be ignored either....I tried some of their Vmax (?) series on recently and those felt like some serious soles....I'd have bought them if they had - had my size (square toe).70' Chevelle RagTop

I wear the Georgia Mud Dogs with steel toe and shank for climbing. The only bitch I have is the inside start tearing in the heal after about 6-8 months and iof you dont put them on boat dryer they start to smell like cat piss from the material that is used on the inside, but every morning they feel like new boots.

Red wings, but they aren't under $100. I wear their steel toed Pecos when I'm out on job sites and such.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Its really hard to say this brand vs. that brand. Especially when it comes to comfort. Everyone seems to fit boots differently. Our feet aren't the same shape/size, etc. Listen to the quality recommendations and go from there. Try on several styles from each of the recommended brands and see what fits YOUR feet the best. If you can bump your budget $50-100 you are going to come out with a boot that is going to last you a good deal longer.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.
