Although I chose dogs, I did see something today that makes me think twice about them.
I am watching my aunts dog. I let him out into the yard this morning and watched him do his thing, since it was cold. He decided to take a poop, which I thought "cool, he will come back fast". Then he immediately turned around and ate the poop.
I advised my wife to not touch anything that dog licks or holds in his mouth.

I have always wondered about when they say "a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's." Funny, I never remember eating my own shit.May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

cats, to me, are a girl's pet. Im not saying you are any less masculine if you live alone and you have a cat, but they are a girl's pet.
I have never heard a buddy of mine get divorced and say "well, time to get me a cat!"May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

why can't it be both???
I have owned both. I enjoy them both. dogs are messy, cats stink. I had a cat that would fetch his ball, lay down on command and come when called. I had a dog who would dry off when told, play with his ball and swim with us (man I miss him). my last cat lived 17 years. I loved her very much. the new one is a pain in the ass but the kid wanted one.
