Well, what started out as a hoax grew legs and took off running with some of these kids. This is what happens when you have impressionable kids without proper supervision and a lack of family communication.
Cutting is nothing new...it's just become more mainstream with all of the emo bullshit and attempts to raise awareness. It seems that the campaigns to help put more ideas into kids minds than anything else.
