Outdoor cats have a purpose in rural areas.. Controlling the rodent population. My dad has has often kept an outdoor cat for that reason. The trick is you need to make sure it is fixed.
I will say that I do not believe that cats should be outdoors in a residential area. If you get one as a pet, what good is it as a pet if it is always outside. But I have the same opinion of dogs in the city. Why get a pet dog just to stick it in the back yard 90% of the time.
As far as killing animals, I only support killing them in limited circumstances:
They are in pain / terminally ill
They are a risk to humans
Their population is not being controlled naturally
They are going to be used as food
Other than that I see no need to kill animals. For sporting purposes or otherwise.
As far as liking cats, I do, which is why we have them as pets. I also like dogs, which is why we have those.
I think that many people that do not like cats are of that opinion because they are offended when a pet will not pay attention to them. They want a dog that will be constantly begging for attention, or that will come when called, and are not willing to work for an animals affection. I like that cats are independent and that you have to earn their trust and affection. But that is just my opinion.

The king snakes do an excellent job at rodent population control. I dont have a problem with mice and rats or snakes fucking up cars, equipment, and garbage. only wild dogs and cats.
i think why people dont like cats is because they are assholes. They get a free pass cuz they can be cute. Ever heard of anyone taking their faithful hunting cat with them on hunts?
People have cats cuz they have little furry heads and they are funny as shit to watch what they are going to do next. That is it. They serve no purpose other than entertaining humans and feeding Asians.
Trust me, if I didnt think I would get locked up for good in a loony bin, I would eat the little bastards. Ive always wanted to try stir fried kitty.
May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.
